Job Description

MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Compliance Project Surveyor to join a Housing Association based in Berkshire. This will be a 3-month interim contract whilst my client hope to recruit for the permanent position. My client have a fire remedial programme on site which they are looking for someone to manage. The successful candidate will be doing post inspections on the contractors work.The role:Your role will be to deliver professional compliance surveying services for the planned works department in relation to landlord compliance works programmes. You will work collaboratively with colleagues in the department, across the assets & growth directorate and the business as a whole, on health and safety compliance. Your approach to building good working relationships and understanding of corporate priorities and objectives are essential to being successful in this role. You will be working closely with external contractors on various workstreams. You will manage and seek to resolve queries from customers both as part of inspection programmes, surveys and planned programmes of compliance work. You will use your expertise to report, analyse and make recommendations on remedial works and complete these tasks in compliance with health and safety legislation, regulations, best practice and policy.Main reposbilites:* You will undertake stock surveys, prepare schedules of condition, schedules of work, tender documentation, defect analysis reports as required and ensure that specifications are kept up to date.* You will prepare pre-tender estimates and feasibilities for a wide range of landlord compliance projects as part of the planned inspections and works programme.* You will assist in the design, procurement and management of contracts and contractors in delivering the works programme, ensuring that good progress is maintained on site. * You will attend site meetings as required and ensure works are completed in accordance with contract documentation.* You will review payment applications to ensure they are in line with works completed to date.* You will act as project manager as appropriate and work towards the successful completion of projects in terms of time, cost and quality.* You will undertake customer consultation, liaise with colleagues and other stakeholders as required, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction that can be evidenced through feedback and key performance indicators.* You will monitor, maintain and ensure adherence to our health and safety framework and related policies and management plans as well as statutory and regulatory requirements, best practice and guidance on compliance.* You will ensure that all data records on stock condition are accurate and kept up to date and that you fully utilise the systems used by the planned works department to undertake your role.* You will work with the senior compliance manager to ensure that monitoring and performance of contractors is correctly recorded and feedback through agreed procedures and processes. Have a good understanding of the relationship between client and contractor and take responsibility for managing project to the satisfaction of our customers.* You will positively support activities that help promote our new culture Title: Compliance Project SurveyorSalary: £275 - £375p/d (Outside IR35)Location: Dorset, Bournemouth
