Bakkavor Bourne specialises in making prepared fruit, stir fry mixes, leafy and dressed salads. It employsover 1,100 people and forms part of the Bakkavor Meals sector in the UK. Were the biggest name youve never heard of. Youve probably eaten our food - you just didnt realise it. We make innovative fresh products, with around 18,500 colleagues working acrossthe UK, US and China. Were the market leader in the UK fresh prepared food industry supplying meals, salads, desserts, pizza and bread to leading grocery retailers (including Tesco, M&S, Sainsburys and Waitrose). The role: The key aspect of the role will be to monitor and assess the quality of raw materials (including packaging) entering the business, ensuring this is of highest standardaccording to the approved product specifications and highlighting any issues to the business. Assist in the general day to day operation of managing all aspects of raw materials control. Support the management of the supply base through performance appraisalon quality/food safety issues Liaise directly with suppliers on raw material issues regarding supplier audit status, specification and pro-forma requirements for the Retailers and Bakkavor Group Central Technical About you: Ideally youll have experience ina food manufacturing environment. We are looking for excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. We are also looking for confident PC Skills as the role requires using a variety of systems.
