Job Description

It is an exciting time to consider joining the Barchester family in a newly created position to support the projects team across our new builds team in the role of Hospitality Coordinator. This is a national role supporting our new builds and refurbishmentprojects across the country.With over 25 years experience, nearly 240 care homes, and six independent hospitals, Barchester is one of the UKs biggest premium care providers. We are also leading one of the fastest growing new build programmes aiming to open 10 brand new purpose-builthomes per year.In the role of Hospitality Coordinator you will be supporting the projects teams, to ensure that Barchester meets its hospitality standards; complies with legislation and meets the Barchester standards whilst maintaining a good commercial performance.MAIN RESPONSABILITIESDrive the Barchester brand and business growth through the delivery of hospitality excellence in the catering, housekeeping and laundry provisionsTo ensure that the hospitality training are delivered to maximum performanceAssisting in the implementation of the chefs academy for coaching and development of second chefs and kitchen assistantsProvide operational insight to grow occupancy and deliver customer and client satisfactionEnsure menu and food development are of a high quality and meets customer expectationsEnsure the dining experience training is carried out according to the Barchester standardsSupporting with new Hospitality initiatives being launched by Head of HospitalitySupporting the new builds VIP events and Head Chefs inductionsABOUT YOUDemonstrate passion making a difference to our residents lives and to encourage residents to maintain independence and choice in a homely environmentHold a UK driving licence to help support several homes across the UKHold City and Guilds 706/2, Advanced Cooking or NVQ Level 3, CateringDiploma or Certificate in Management studies or equivalentHold a level 3 or 4 Food Hygiene CertificateBackground in catering or hotel managementShow courtesy and respect to residents and relatives and retain the confidentiality of residents and their families at all timesHave passion and desire to be supportive and engaged with residents and familiesBarchester have proudly been awarded a two-star outstanding rating by Best Companies, ranked 11th in the top 20 Best Health & Social Care Companies to work for and 14th in the Top 25 Best Big Companies to Work For in the UK.If you are looking to work with an organisation that provides the quality of care you would expect for your loved ones, Barchester is a rewarding and empowering place to be.
