Job Description

Finance Manager (temporary)Cambridge (East)£16 - £20 per hourTo cover a period of absence, this educational organisation are recruiting a Finance Manager for a period of 2-3 months.You will report to the Finance Director and take responsibility for the day-to-day finance activities of the organisation.Responsibilities will include:

  • Invoices and payments; monitoring expenditure and budgetary performance to ensure spending is within approved limits.
  • Line management of small finance team including training, performance management and delegation.
  • Prepare annual budgets within the approved timetable for final approval
  • Prepare and update 3 year forecast.
  • Monitor the actual to budget. Completing the monthly management accounts pack.
  • Management of bank accounts and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT legislation. Prepare and submit the monthly VAT return.
  • Ensure effective invoicing procedure within agreed regulations.
  • Credit control.
  • Administer the monthly payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing.
    • Desired experience and attributes:
  • Minimum AAT Qualified or ACCA / CIMA part-qualified with relevant experience.
  • Producing final accounts form trial balance.
  • Preparation of management accounts.
  • Management / supervisory experience
  • Strong IT and systems skills including advanced Excel.
