Quality Manager - Food Manufacturing - Kent A well-respected food manufacturer, operating from a highly profitable site. This business has invested heavily in their modern well-equipped factory and are enjoying exponential sales growth. They manufacture a diverse range of products and now seek a QualityManager in what is a key role for the business.The RoleMonday to Friday - DaysThe Quality Manager will sit on the management team and will add their influence to decisions affecting business strategy and profitability. They will be given a great deal of autonomy to manage the Quality Department consisting of QA, Technical, Sampling,and Laboratory.The Quality Manager will sit on management review meetings and chair KPI review meetings for the Quality team. They will manage investigations relating to Quality, Safety, Non-Conformance and Legality.The jobholder must have an excellent understanding of BRC, HACCP, and GMP and will provide support concerning a full range of Quality issues. They will work closely with Production/Operations concerning positive release checks, raw material and finishedproduct quality, compliance and site Audits.There will be a further requirement to drive and coordinate Continuous Improvement activities and promote a Food Safety Culture.Applicants will be well-versed in managing BRC audits, Retailer Audits and associated codes of practice. The Quality Manager will also develop and train their team, manage and improve the company Quality Management Systems and procedures.The PersonThe position reports to the Technical Director and represents an outstanding opportunity to join a leading company at a flagship site.
