This is a great opportunity to join a very well-established company with a successful track record. The role will entail running all of the day to day activities of the Finance Department, including running the ledgers. banking and bank reconciliation, creditcontrol, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, maintain cash book and petty cash, and processing the company payroll.In addition, the incumbent will be charged with the preparation and submission of VAT returns, the preparation of timely monthly management accounts for discussion, as well as the preparation of cash flow forecasts, fixed asset register and the preparationof year end accounts for the External Accountants.The person appointed will be part of the Senior Management Team, and will assume some general management responsibilities such as looking after some HR matters, contributing to the Health and Safety responsibilities with other Management team members, andso on.We would welcome applications from both fully and part-qualified Accountants who have had previous experience of running the day to day finances of SMEs, and who enjoy adopting a hands on approach, and whilst not a pre-requisite, any previous experienceof working in a manufacturing environment may give you a slight advantage, as may having previous experience of working on Sage software.
