Job Description

Play Therapist Required Salary/ Rate: £66-£80 per dayExclusive Education is looking to appoint a Play Therapist to work in an SEN school in the North West. This role is for 5 days per week, is to start as soon as possible working full time.A Play Therapist will support children (and their families) to work through difficult situations and experiences such as bereavement, abuse and neglect, depression and anxiety, family conflicts, psychological issues or other traumatic experiences. They useplay to help children express and understand their emotions and experiences, and learn how to cope with difficult situations.The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with SEN.In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

  • Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3)
  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous experience
  • Two references working with children
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
