Job Description

The Recruitment Co are currently recruiting for a Logistics Administrator for a client based in Bootle.BackgroundTo work as a member of the Liverpool ink plant Warehouse and Despatch Team, providing a point of contact between the operation and our customers.Administer and maintain the sales order processing system (Oracle), completing any paperwork associated with UK and International orders and communicate the status of urgent orders to the operations team.Provide support for projects and continuous improvement initiatives to support the Logistics Coordinator, the Warehouse and Despatch Manager and the overall business.The role holder is legally responsible for the consignment of loads in compliance with Carriage of Dangerous Goods regulations, IATA regulations and shipment of Dangerous Goods by Road and Sea ensuring accuracy of all orders and associated paperwork.The Role

  • Ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are always adhered to Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping in all areas
  • Sales order confirmation and dealing with customer queries request, communicating the status of urgent UK orders and UK backorders to the UK business team
  • Arrange for the collection and transport of completed Export Orders in order to meet Customer due dates, liaising with shipping/freight companies on timing and best available means of shipping
  • Liaise with the Logistics Coordinator and Warehouse and Despatch Manager on order progress and escalate any relevant issues likely to affect customer due dates in line with Standard Operating Procedures Ensure that Export Orders sheets / paperwork are confirmedaccurately with all relevant data such as Lot Numbers and freight charges and ensure that detailed packing lists are produced
  • Update Booking In/Out Sheet with carriers details & update the Export Planning Schedule with all necessary information
  • Working closely with other Logistics Administrators to develop a good understanding of all works areas within
  • Logistics, working collaboratively and able to provide cover as and when required
  • Build strong relationships with Material Control and Manufacturing/Production to ensure materials and products are available to meet shipping schedules
  • Ensure that the Oracle system correctly reflects despatch status in real time, through accurate and timely bookings of cycle counting and inventory
  • Undertake all tasks as required in accordance with standard Domino working practices and quality procedure
  • Demonstrate attitude and behaviours in line with Company values and expectations set by Line Manager
  • Complete annual training requirements, performance and development reviews as well as Individual
  • Development Reviews in line with the company requirements
  • Carry out any other reasonable duty as requested by Logistics Coordinator and/or Liverpool Management Team
Previous experience within a Logistics / Export administration within a manufacturing environment Excellent customer service skills, understanding the needs of key internal and external customers Great communication skills, with the ability to understandand solve problems, show empathy with internal and external customer issues and liaise confidently with all team members where appropriate Confident to work independently, seeking assistance as and when appropriate Flexible and adaptable to react to unexpectedtasks or customer demand IT Literate with knowledge of using both Oracle and Microsoft programmes, inc. 365, Word and Excel Previous experience of Oracle ERP system and a Warehouse Management System or similar is essential Previous experience of Sales forcecustomer support systems is desirable Familiarity with AVSEC/Dangerous Goods regulations is desirable Pay rate -£9.85phThe Recruitment Co. is an equal opportunities employer and were committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
