Job Description

Your roleYou will work directly with people seeking asylum, and your customer service advisor experience will be invaluable as you sensitively conduct face-to-face interviews with vulnerable adults and children, while refusing those who do not qualify, ensuring theUK remains safe and secure.During the interviews, you will consider large amounts of information, legislation, and case law from various sources to make the appropriate decision, enabling you to update internal systems accurately and on time, work with stakeholders and produce clearand well-written letters detailing your decisions,on behalf of the Home Secretary.You will research and develop up-to-date specialist knowledge of legislation and policy and senior colleagues or specialist caseworkers will be on hand to support you with advice to make assessments and appropriate decisions. Your line manager and technicalspecialists will also support you with regular one-to-one coaching meetings to develop your skills further.What you can bringYou’ll need
  • To be IT literate and able to learn new software quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build customer relations
  • To be comfortable analysing a variety of credible sources to support decisions
