Job Description

Full time, 32.5 hours per weekMPS + TLRThe RoleCarrfield Primary Academy has an exciting opportunity for an Early Years Leadto join their team!As our Early Years Lead, you will be:

  • Providing an example of excellence as a leading classroom practitioner and inspire and motivate other staff in all areas of the EYFS curriculum
  • Working within the Senior Leadership Team to sustain high expectations and excellent practice in teaching and learning throughout the school
  • Be an excellent role model, exemplifying a high standard of teaching and promoting high expectations for all members of the school community
  • Providing a safe, calm and well-ordered environment for all pupils and staff, focused on safeguarding pupils and developing exemplary behaviour.
We are looking for individuals who have:
  • Proven experience of leading across the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Experience of using school/academy data effectively to raise achievement and improve behaviour
  • Knowledge and understanding of: the theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children (e.g. classroom organisation and learning strategies);
  • Ability to work accurately and methodically under pressure
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience of the new EYFS Framework and creating a purposeful and stimulating learning environment
  • Enthusiastic and skilled leader, who is completely child focused
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with parents/carers Innovative, creative and imaginative
About UsCarrfield Primary Academy is a primary school in the village of Bolton-upon-Dearne at the edge of the borough of Barnsley, with approximately 300 pupils from Reception to Year 6.The Academys aim is to provide a stimulating learning environment which will provide opportunities for each child to develop her or his potential to the full.
