Draughtsman / CAD Technician required on a full-time permanent basis - I am working with my client who require a hard-working and experienced Draughtsman / Cad Technician to join a busy team to who is looking to develop a long term and committed careerwithin a growing business.Main Duties:* You will be responsible for Producing 2D electrical schematics and interconnection drawings for LV Distribution and Control.* Interpret customer requirements and technical specifications and responsibility for the following:- Solidworks / AutoCad operator focusing on electrical requirements of the Engineering Dept.- Knowledge / experience of electrical control panel design for industrial equipment.- Read, understand and produce LV Electrical front of panel layout drawings, LV electrical control schematics and interconnection diagrams derived from customer, and internal, specifications.* Following instructions and diagrams to create or modify drawings* Meeting with engineers, draftsmen, and designers to review blueprints and design drawings.* Inputting design specifications into the CAD software.* Creating surface and solid CAD models according to client specifications.* Working with a design team and individually on CAD projects.* Reviewing CAD models with the client and making minor adjustments.* Conducing final model rendering and delivering the final product.* Completing job reports.* Coordinating filing, storage and retrieval of drawings* Work with architects, engineers, building services and other construction workers in producing plans and drawings.* Liaise with workshop staff to create SOPs and streamline electrical equipment design and build within the company.* Ability to work unsupervised and create detailed electrical drawings as detailed above and manufacturing package of drawings, parts lists and BOMs.What we need from you:* Min 2 years experience in this role* Bachelors degree in engineering or design / CAD Certification.* Previous experience as a CAD technician / Draughtsman - essential* Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software - essential* Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.* Basic understanding of building design and mechanical processes.* Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects.* A keen eye for detail.* Excellent time management skills.* Strong communication skills.Benefits:* 25 days holidays (including Birthday off)* Annual reviews and development opportunities* Training and development opportunities* Positive and friendly work environment and team* Helpful and encouraging team and managersBMC Recruitment Group treats all applications equally and confidentially, we review all submissions.
