Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer to join a rapidly growing, family-run SME based in South Tyneside. This is a key role in the business and has huge growth and development opportunities. The business is turning over in excess of £10mand realistically can double this in the next 3 years and triple in the next 5. To enable this growth, they have identified the need for a commercially minded CFO to provide effective financial, operational and strategic direction to the business.Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Directors and shareholders in the design and implementation of longer term strategic and short-term business plan to build and maintain profitable partnerships.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth.
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Management of operational and finance function, taking a lead in people and professional development, whilst promoting a culture of strong performance
  • Business partnering closely with the MD and other senior stakeholders to ensure the group hits its strategic milestones.
  • Ensure that the financial risks facing the business are well understood and effectively mitigated.
  • Day to Day responsibility for the 3 operational sites (distribution & manufacturing (x2))
Requirements
  • Fully Qualified Accountant (CFA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong ERP / system skills (ideally NetSuite)
  • Strong Experience in high growth manufacturing and distribution-based businesses (B2B)
  • Excellent communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong leadership and people development skills
  • Ability to identify operations, supply chain efficiency
  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling
  • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset
