My client, a highly successful R&D company who are a subsidiary of one the worlds most successful Technology Companies develop performance RF, Wireline and Software Solutions are looking for a Microwave/RF Design Engineer to join their team based in Somerset. A Microwave Design Engineer is required to join the Systems Engineering team working on the design of microwave circuits. In this role you will be responsible for device evaluation on RF products from 1 GHz up to 30 GHz frequencies. The role also involves workingclosely with IC design teams.The responsibilities for this Microwave/RF Design Engineer will include:*Design of Microwave/RF demonstration kits and evaluation PCBs*In depth evaluation of Microwave/RF devices; involving close collaboration with the device design team and detailed analysis of the application requirements*Produce detailed documentation of evaluation results and produce application notes to support customer usage cases*Competitive analysis; identify, document and present the benefits of the company solutions *Provide technical support to sales/marketing, production and test departments A successful candidate this Microwave/RF Design Engineer role will have the following:*Commercial experience of microwave system/circuit design with experience up to at least 30 GHz.*A relevant degree / qualifications*Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as spectrum analysers, VNAs, vector signal generators, oscilloscopes etc*Good theoretical knowledge of analogue circuits, RF and system engineering*Experience with transmitters, receivers.*Experienced in supporting production of microwave productsIf you have any specific questions about this fantastic opportunity for a Microwave/RF Design Engineer, please call Sophie on .
