Further InformationAn exciting opportunity has arisen in the Disabled Children Team, Northumberland, based in County Hall, Morpeth. The Disabled Children Team is a statutory social work team who are very committed in promoting positive outcomes for children and young people whohave a range of disabilities and complex needs. The role will involve managing low level CIN cases for children and young people with disabilities who receive short breaks through a costed care package. This role will involve directly supporting parents andwill involve multi-agency working. This role will also entail attending a child or young persons annual EHCP review and ensuring up to date social care information is provided. Other responsibilities include; supporting social workers based in the team andon occasions supporting with supervising family time. It is desirable that any applicants will have experience of working in a similar role. The applicant will need to hold a NVQ level 3 in childcare/ social care or equivalent. The applicant will also needto have an in- depth understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
