Job Description

A bit about us:At Butternut, our mission is to deliver health and happiness to dogs and their humans all over the world. In order to do just that, we need a hard-working team. And we need quite a big kitchen too. Which is precisely why we have built one.Located in Doncaster, Rudies Kitchen is where our Butternut meals (we currently have 6 recipes) will be gently cooked, using human-quality ingredients. Rudies is also where we will be packaging our meals and boxing them for our customers all over the UK. We are looking for great people to join the team in various roles covering production and fulfillment. Were at a very exciting period here at Butternut, growing from 100 to 200 employees within the next 2 months as we take over the dog food industry.A bit about the role:

Conduct quality checks to ensure that we meet finished product specifications and build a beautifully packaged box ready to be distributed to our customer

Own a station on the line and be responsible for your recipe to be packed correctly into our customers box

Operate as part of a team in the process of fulfilling customer orders in a timely, accurate and presentable way

Unpack, pack, load and unload products from our holding freezer, into our customers boxes ready for delivery

Other general tasks supporting the production facility, waste processing, order packing etc

Work to relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators

Work in a safe way following all appropriate safety procedures and wearing protective equipment correctly at all times

Occasional attendance and contribution at the daily review meeting and regular attendance/contribution at online performance reviews

General facility hygiene - floors, walls and conveyors etc. and working in a manner that epitomises clean as you go’

A bit about you:

Hard-working & diligent with a hunger to learn

Previous relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment

Committed to food quality & safety

Comfortable working with raw materials such as beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb

Flexible, pragmatic, resilient & humble

Good level of speaking English

Loves dogs (naturally)

This role is 100% based in our kitchen in Blyth, Doncaster

The interview process will be in three stages; Video interview with our recruitment consultant, Video interview with out hiring manager, face to face interview with our hiring manager and leadership team
