Job Description

Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce that we are working exclusively on behalf of a long established subsea trenching organisation to recruit an Equipment Engineer on a permanent basis.TITLE: Equipment EngineerLOCATION: BlythSALARY: CompetitiveLENGTH OF CONTRACT: PermanentROLE SUMMARY:To provide technical support for companies operational equipment; ensuring that it is available to meet project/contract requirements safely, effectively and efficiently. Continually seek to improve safety, improve quality and reliability of the Companysequipment during operations.DUTIES ARE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Ensure all new or transferred equipment is properly commissioned and tested and subsequently maintained in accordance with companies/OEM procedures.
  • Assist in the management of adequate shipboard spares and associated inventories, ensuring the most efficient means of storage and freighting are implemented.
  • Participate in corrective actions and close out of NCRs, AINMs, EIRs, EFRs and provide full support to all other internal management systems.
  • Provide hands on engineering assistance when required in support of equipment repair and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor for recurring malfunctions, performance issues and equipment failures and lead in corrective recommendations.
  • Assist the asset managers in the provision and continuous development of equipment operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Provide technical support and advice to the offshore crews and Project Managers.
  • All employees are required to assist in other areas of the Companys activities either for workload sharing or personnel development reasons.
  • Assist other departments as required with operational and technical expertise during tendering, and through all phases of the Project lifecycle.
  • Contribute on any recommendations/improvements to the Company Management systems and materially assist in internal and external auditing processes.
  • Deputise for other department members in their absence.
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:
  • Electrical, Hydraulic or Mechanical qualification (Minimum ONC, HNC or Equivalent).
  • Experience working within an engineering related industry (Suggested minimum of 2 years but assessed case by case).
  • Experience in the autonomous delivery of discreet work packages.
  • Experience in the formulation of budgets, work plans and schedules.
  • Experience in the delivery and presentation of technical work packages including recommendations and solutions
