Job Description

Professional Head of Signalling and Telecommunications - RailREF: 32297Location: Hamilton, South Lanarkshire - (alternative locations include York, Crew or Birmingham)About the roleHere at Babcock International were looking to recruit a Professional Head of Signalling and Telecoms - Rail to work as an integral part of the Babcock Lead Professional Head Team and maintain interfaces to clients and 3rd parties on matters of engineering and compliance within Signalling and Telecommunications. You will ensure technical compliance of all contracts by developing, owning and undertaking technical audit and surveillance throughout any design, construction, testing and commissioning and handback phase.What do I need to do the role

  • Youll need to be Professionally qualified in an appropriate Engineering discipline
  • 5 Years record of success in a Rail Engineering role
  • Membership of IRSE (institute of Railway Signalling Engineers)
  • Previous experience in a senior role in Railway signalling role
  • Previous experience dealing with / working with Network Rail
  • We would also like you to have experience in Strong, demonstrable leadership and strong planning and organisational skillsWhat else do I need to know
