Are you a business builder, with the vision to build a strong brand while investing in and developing operational capacity within the factory Im seeking a General Manager for an entrepreneurial food manufacturer based in Leamington.Working for an entrepreneurial CEO, the General Manager will take on a highly autonomous role tasked with taking the business to the next level. You will have a clear brief - develop the brand, develop the capability & cost effectiveness of manufacturing, and grow the business - and you will be backed with the appropriate level of investment to achieve these tasks.You will have full P&L responsibility for a diverse ambient food business that supplies to both retailers and food service providers, with a turnover of approximately £10m and a headcount of 250. You will spearhead the development of the brand leading every function of the business including commercial, NPD and operations; you will present your strategy for the direction of the firm and execute that strategy in full with the support of the CEO, who is ambitious about the potential of the business under the right leadership.You will be an experienced General Manager or Managing Director with a track record in food manufacturing. You have vision and the ability to move a business forward strategically, while at the same time being cost-focused and hands-on in your leadership. You will ideally have previously run a small, entrepreneurial food manufacturer; otherwise you will have demonstrable experience leading a standalone division of a larger business with minimal benefit from corporate or head office functions.The successful candidate will receive a salary of approximately £90,000 plus a benefits package commensurate with the role.
