Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) ManagerHours: 37Contract Type: PermanentSalary: Spine point 40 £40,855Reference Number: SENDAs an experienced practitioner You will manage and develop the SEND provision both within Further and Higher Education. Working within Additional Learning Support (ALS) service, including support services for students with Educational Health and Care Plansand those in receipt of High Needs Funding.You will operationally manage the assessment services for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LLDD) in Further Education (FE) and support for Higher Education (HE) Students in receipt of Disabled Students Allowances (DSA) including theproduction of the Assessment of Need (AoN) and provision of out of class support.This post has responsibility for the quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment for SEND support and therefore is responsible for the effectiveness and impact of Advisory Teaching, demonstrating very high levels of achievement and progress.As a member of the Student Support and Engagement Management Team you will ensure the service delivery is cost effective and focused on the needs of students with SEND. This is a significant post within the ALS Management Structure and requires effectivemanagement skills and the ability to lead a diverse team and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
