Plumbing Technician / Facilitator£20,103 to £20,332 per annumHours: 37 hours per week / 52 Weeks per yearContract Type: PermanentBlackburn College is passionate about innovative teaching and learning practice and committed to growing and developing our provision in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). Our facilities are some of the best in the area with environmentaltechnology workshops, mechanical workshop, electrical laboratories, a mock bungalow, CAD facilities and a real life plant room.With a NVQ Level 2 or above (or equivalent) in plumbing and extensive practical experience of working in the plumbing industries you will facilitate teaching support to enable effective delivery of the construction curriculum within the Building Servicesarea. You will be provide day-to-day co-ordination of the workshop, technical and teaching facilities by working with the team of staff to ensure effective support is provided to both staff and students and co-ordinate resource usage efficiently in order todeliver the curriculum. You will also be responsible for managing, monitoring and maintaining resources within the area and will take an active part in the development of curriculum delivery through the annual business planning process.Blackburn College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.
