Your new company:Our client is a leading global retail operator, with over 50,000 employees in over 10 countries. Our client has experienced significant growth with revenues more than £20bn.As a result of significant growth our client is expanding its finance team and have an opportunity available for a Management Accountant. You will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, reporting into the Finance Manager and will workas part of a team alongside experienced senior finance partners and accountants.How youll spend your time:
  • Producing monthly management accounts for the relevant brand in accordance to the reporting timetable.
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis, and that all balances are correct and differences investigated.
  • Main point of contact for Ops managers for financial support and queries on P&Ls.
  • Variance and trend analysis
  • Production and posting of key journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
  • Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis to assist decision making
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting
  • Develop processes and controls to ensure risks are managed appropriately
  • Support in the production of accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.
  • Year end statutory audit process
  • Investment Appraisal for future acquisition targets
