Reed in Partnership is a public service provider specialising in skills training for the long-term unemployed, increasing employment opportunities by working with employersand providing youth services.The roleAre you passionate about making a difference and helping others Interested in empowering young people to reach their potential Able to give engaging presentations and champion exciting opportunities Consider the role of an NCS Youth Engagement Specialistat Reed in Partnership!Key accountabilitiesThe main purpose of a Youth Engagement Specialist is to promote the NCS programme to young people, parents and teachers and support in the sign up process. Your main responsibilities will include: - To build strong relationships with key contacts in schoolsand colleges in order to identify and plan meaningful recruitment opportunities for NCS. - Deliver high quality, engaging presentations, follow up events and PSHE style sessions to young people in schools to inspire them to sign up to NCS. - Assist young peopleand their parents/guardians through the sign up process from initial expression of interest to turning up for the programme. - Be responsible for reaching challenging individual and team targets relating to expressions of interest, sign ups and turn ups tothe programme. - Ensuring administrative duties are completed accurately within allotted timeframes.Skills & experienceEssential: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ideally with public speaking experience. - Good time management and organisational skills. - Ability to manage own workload as well as working as part of a team. - Being approachable, enthusiastic,excited about working with young people and able to adapt to a range of different audiences. - Own transport preferred with willingness to travel locally, regionally and work flexible hours. - A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma GCSE EnglishLanguage at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification) OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage. Desirable Attributes: - Previous experience working with young people aged 15-17 - Ability to work under own initiative.- Ability to prioritise busy work schedule and run a number of projects concurrently. - Experience in account management. - Use of Salesforce or similar CRM systems.OtherWhats in it for you Alongside base salary of £21-23K, great flexibility with your working schedule, we also offer training, development and progression opportunities.
