Job Description

Warehouse Supervisor4 days per week: Monday & Tuesday, 1.30pm -12 midnight then Wednesday & Thursday, 2pm -12 midnightAnnual Salary between£27,000 to £30,000Whats in it for mePeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to start immediately with our client in Tyseley.This will represent a fantastic opportunity to assist the Warehouse Manager in coordinating the daily activities of warehouse staff in their busy Distribution Centre and support the various internal functions of this operation.The successful applicant to this Warehouse Supervisor position will be required to work 4 days a week: Monday & Tuesday, 1:30pm to 12 midnight then Wednesday & Thursday, 2pm to 12 midnight and can expect to receive a starting salary of £27k going up to asmuch as £30k DOE.This is an immediate start position, initially on a FTC, but potentially leading to an extension and/or permanent role for suitable candidates.What are the benefits

Day to Day DutiesDuties of the Warehouse Supervisor will include (but wont be limited to) the following:
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that both the quality and service customers receive is maintained at the highest standards possible;
  • Ensure all deliveries are checked and received in a timely manner;
  • Plan and coordinate the timely picking and despatch of wholesale products;
  • Provide strong leadership, direction and mentoring for all staff;
  • Carry our health & safety audits/inspections as required;
  • Complete quality inspections on products and services in a timely manner;
  • Any other reasonable duties as deemed necessary by management.
Essential SkillsTo be considered for this Warehouse Supervisory position, applicants must possess the following:
  • A minimum of 2yrs supervisory experience;
  • Strong people management skills;
  • GCSE level (or equivalent) Maths and English
  • Ability to use IT systems and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages (especially Excel)
  • A positive "can do" attitude
Desirable Experience
  • Whilst not necessary, it would be desirable for the Warehouse Supervisor to have a forklift licence as well as previous experience working in a warehouse environment and/or experience in performing quality inspections.

  • Full training on company policies and procedures will be provided by the client.
