Real temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established teamEnhanced rates of £10.26 for PMs and £10.93 for nightsEventual increases of over £12 per hour once permanentWe are seeking a small number of experienced Warehouse Operatives with proven experience as a multi-skilled order picker / MHE Operator. A minimum background of at least 6 months in a storage / logistics / trade counter operation as a Storeman would be essential.You would be joining a warm, welcoming team in a clean and tidy warehouse facility. You would benefit from a well-equipped canteen, free parking, and regular review meetings with your Line Manager to help with your professional development. They supply intoa range of industry sectors including automotive components; due to the wide range of their product line, it is vital that all applicants have a good level of English and comprehension, in order to cross-reference batch numbers against despatch paperwork.All products would be well below 15kg as such this is not a labour-intensive role. As a Storeman you will receive internal training/ refreshers on their MHE, which includes Counterbalance, Reach and HLOP trucks, which is of course a huge personal benefit toany staff. While previous FLT experience is not essential, even small amounts of in-house experience would be advantageous.To apply for the Warehouse Storeman role, you must have the following key attributes:- Minimum 6 months experience in a pick/pack logistics environment- Comfortable working both on and off forklift trucks, both at ground level and at height- Good eye for detail- Basic computer literacy and able to use RF scanning equipment- Physically fit and able to assist with manual loading and unloading- Good team player- Ambition to earn a permanent placement and seek a long-term careerYour day to day duties as a Warehouse Storeman include;- Order picking- Stock replenishment- Sortation and general housekeeping- Locating and retrieving stock from height using their High Level Order Picker- Eventually loading and unloading trailers using the counterbalance truck (once signed off)Hours of work and pay include:0500-1400 (fixed) - paying £9.50 set to increase to £10.16 + 10% S/A once permanent1400-2200 (fixed) - paying £9.50 + 8% shift allowance, with further increase once permanent2200-0600 (fixed) - as above with 15% shift allowance, with further increase once permanentIf you are interested in applying for our Warehouse Storeman role, please click below to apply.
