Job Description

Here at CDSL our aim is to be the first choice for home appliance after sales service, spare parts and accessories.With over fifty years of experience, We are the largest independent home appliance and spare parts distribution organization within the UK working with a number of household brands including Whirlpool, Hotpoint, Hoover and Bosch to name a few!We have an exciting opportunity for a shift manager to join our ever expanding business.As a Shift Manager the role will involve ensuring the efficient and cost effective running of the warehouse operation to agreed SLAs and KPIsYou will also be required to implement and support continued operational and service improvements whilst providing leadership to the warehouse Section Leader team and operatives by creating and maintaining employee participation and effective team working.Working on a rotational shift pattern between 6am-10pm, The role will involve:

  • Overseeing Shift operations within the NDC
  • Ensuring all trade, express, UK consumer and international orders are dispatched within KPIs
  • Implementing best practice at the NDC and ensure the continuous improvement of all processes & services
  • Control labour costs to the lowest practicable levels whilst delivering against objectives

  • Work with other Shift Managers to maximize resources and achieve site objectives
  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all NDC employees and contractors
  • Ensure all HR functions are completed
    • As a Shift Manager we will need you to have:
  • Experience of delivering effective high volume, high service levels across the outbound and inbound operations
  • Experience of managing a team of shift Section Leaders
  • Managing projects through to completion
  • Experience in leading and managing change
  • Proven management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
  • Knowledge and experience of health and safety management
    • We’d be really excited if you have:
  • Worked within an e-Commerce business
  • Experience of FMCG and 3 party carriers
  • Experience in Inbound and Outbound Operations
  • Experience of both B2B and B2C operations
