Volunteer Support Co-ordinatorHome based with travel to various locations within BirminghamOverviewDo you enjoy helping people Are you looking for a flexible role that is truly rewarding Then we need you!Join Royal Voluntary Service and together we can change lives, change communities and change society.We’re currently looking for a Volunteer Support Co-ordinator to join us on a full-time basis for a fixed term contract until 30th June 2024.The RoleAs a Volunteer Support Co-ordinator, you will co-ordinate volunteers across our Birmingham Dementia Service.Leading our recruitment campaigns and local promotion activities, you will work alongside Service Managers and local teams to organise recruitment fairs, attract new volunteers and understand the variety of volunteer roles we offer.You will also check our online volunteer management system and welcome and guide new applicants through our recruitment process, building a rapport, offering trust and support, providing advice and explaining what we offer and the great outcomes that can beachieved.Additionally, you will:- Use knowledge and contacts to develop, implement and advertise volunteer opportunities- Maintain accurate paperwork and digital recordsWorking HoursThis is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week from Monday to Friday.What you’ll need- Experience working with volunteers and/or volunteer-led support groups- Experience of local services and the issues affecting older people- Experience of recording data, monitoring and evaluation processes and maintaining databases- Knowledge of proven methods to engage and retain volunteers- Excellent communication skills- A full, valid driving licencePlease note, you will need to be based in the Birmingham and/or Solihull area, as the role will involve regular travel to various locations across Birmingham.What you get in returnWe’re proud to be in the top 25 not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK, based on ratings from Indeed.
