Job Description

Job Title Vendor Manager - Lead Business Functional Expert Location Birmingham Corporate Title Vice President The Vendor Manager is a key role and provides support across the full life cycle of vendor activities, including planning, due diligence, contract reviews, risk management, ongoing monitoring and exit strategy. You will play a key role in managing the vendordatabase and will help drive the automation of processes and reporting to support the Vendor Management function. This role will sit within Technology, Data, and Innovation and more specifically the Corporate Functions Archiving Technology programme team supporting Regulatory Compliance Archiving and eDiscovery. Your key responsibilities
  • Responsible for contract management, including review and execution of SOWs (Statement of Works), amendments, Intra-Group Service Framework Agreement, etc
  • Coordinate the review of vendor agreements with applicable internal stakeholders including legal, compliance, control function and technology (Address requests for contract and vendor information from internal and external stakeholders)
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement strategies aimed at reducing costs, mitigating risks, and increasing in product delivery
  • Create and present periodic reports of vendor performance, including incidents, service levels, risks and controls to identify improvement opportunities
  • Manage vendor financial spend, forecast and business case, including cost-cutting models and invoice reconciliation
  • Manage Vendor Conformance to Internal Policies & SLAs (Service Level Agreements) as set out in the Contract and Track Mitigation and/or Timelines
Your skills and experience
  • Contract and vendor management experience, Bachelor degree required (Juris Doctorate preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • Creative problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work well independently
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to convey key contract details in a concise synopsis for executive review
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize work and meet competing deadlines
  • Strong communication skills; including follow up and follow through and the highest level of attention to detail
  • Proficiency across full Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word
