Job Description

Working as a Transport Planner (PM) in Birmingham, the role will involve the daily planning of routes for vehicles across the UK whilst maximising efficiencies and monitoring compliance. This opportunity benefits from an excellent salary of up to £30,000per year working either 12pm-8pm or 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday.Client DetailsA leading manufacturing and logistics company with global reach based in Birmingham.DescriptionThe role of Transport Planner (PM) in Birmingham will involve:

  • Route planning for all vehicles.
  • Ensuring all on-time collections and deliveries.
  • Maximise efficiencies with vehicle and driver use.
  • Making ad-hoc changes to the plan as required.
  • Using internal TMS systems.
  • Compliance and H&S.
  • Monitoring and reporting KPIs.
  • Managing drivers and debriefing.
  • Customer service.
ProfileThe successful Transport Planner (PM) candidate will have:
  • Excellent knowledge of transport planning.
  • Experience with planning software and manual planning.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong UK geographical knowledge.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • The ability to work on their own initiative and be organised.
  • A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
