Job Description

My client, a well established company within the Property & Housing industry are currently seeking a Transactions clerk to join their team on a 12 month FTC. You will be reporting to the Transactions Manager to complete timely data entry, processing and maintenance in the financial ledgers. Particular areas of responsibility include accounts receivable, cash book and accounts payable.Client DetailsA well established company within the property and housing sector.Description

  • Undertaking accurate, complete, timely data entry and recording of financial transactions to the finance system
  • Ensuring ongoing maintenance of financial data quality of transactions and balances in the system through reconciliations and review
  • Performing relevant finance system processing tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures and controls
  • Collation, recording and maintenance of supporting documentation for the financial data entered/processed or to be entered/processed
  • Assist in investigations and audits into any queries raised by colleagues and external stakeholders around financial transactions/balances. Undertake corrective actions where necessary
  • Ensure all financial controls, safeguards, rules are adhered to, and alert management immediately to potential risks and failures
  • Proactively assist in the ongoing development and enhancement of financial controls, ensuring they remain relevant, effective and proportionate
  • Ensure all procedures around confidentiality and data protection are adhered
  • Profile
  • Double entry accounting and basic ledger management (Desirable)
  • Complex financial systems with numerous interfaces from feeder systems (Desirable)
  • Financial controls & safeguards (Desirable)
  • Confidentiality and data protection practices (Desirable)
  • Well organised and diligent
  • Excellent excel and data manipulation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, resulting in building of excellent relationships and trust
  • Ability to be self-motivated, inquisitive and proactive in prioritising workloads
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with professional finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Flexibility to undertake wide range of roles/responsibilities and always willing to learn new skills
