Job Description

Transactional Finance Manager for a new and exciting permanent opportunity.Client DetailsMy client is a leading business based in Birmingham that are currently going through significant growth due to recent acquisitions.Description

  • Leadership of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams, including setting direction and coaching in support of the development of a highly performing team.
  • Accountable for all supplier and customer ledgers, including reconciliations, timely customer collections, credit terms, and timely supplier payments.
  • Identification and implementation of P2P and R2R systems and processes improvements to support an effective and efficient transactional finance service.
  • Support the operational stakeholders in management of customer credit terms and collections of receivables, including proactive review of aged receivables and appropriate dunning procedures.
  • Support the operational and procurement teams in management of supplier relationships, including payment terms, query resolution, and reduction in supplier base.
  • Work in partnership with the Treasury team to deliver accurate cash flow forecasting and management of invoice financing facility.
  • Development, reporting and management of KPIs for the AR and AP services.
  • Sage super user for AR and AP processes.

  • Experience of running a large AR and AP function
  • Experience of systems and processes change.
  • Experience of working in conjunction with treasury, procurement, and operational teams to negotiate and manage credit terms.
  • Experience of robust AR and AP control.
  • Proactive communicator and self-starter.
  • Experience working in an evolving business and finance function.
  • AAT and/or CICM qualification or equivalent is desirable.
