Job Description

Salary: £28,000 to £30,000Reference: RA4058S Knights Recruitment are a specialist employability and skills recruitment agency, We recruit for Colleges and Training providers across the UK.Introduction:We are proud to be recruiting for an Apprenticeship Trainer in Library, Information and Archive Specialist (LIAS) on a full-time, permanent, remote basis. Our client are an Ofsted Grade 2 provider, delivering a wide range of funded provisions such as apprenticeships,employability courses, and boot camps across a variety of industries/sector all around the UK. They are looking for an experienced Librarian, Library Assistant, Information and archive specialist assistant, or similar roles to join their team of trainers.If you are interested in further progressing your career in teaching then this may be an exciting new opportunity for you as they are considering nonqualified individuals.Roles and Responsibilities:As a Trainer in Library (LIAS), you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering a level 3 apprenticeships in Library, Information and Archive Specialist (LIAS)
  • Provide initial assessment to the learners to identify the knowledge level of the course
  • Prepare session plans and assess the learners performance throughout the apprenticeship
  • Maintain an up to date records of the learners using the caseload tracker and e-portfolio
  • Provide advice and guidance to the learners to help them progress and achieve goals
Experience and Skills:As a Trainer in Library (LIAS), you will need the following to be successful:
  • Experienced Librarian, Library Assistant, Information and archive specialist assistant or similar roles
  • Experience in delivering assessments and using e-portfolio, teams, excel, outlook, etc
  • Proven knowledge of effective teaching and learning management
  • Ability to provide guidance and motivation to the learners throughout the apprenticeship
