Job Description

Toolmaker - 31,000 - 39 hours per week+ Overtime available and many fantastic benefitsDo you desire to work for a business that genuinely believes the people are the heart of the business, who see all workers and departments as one teamWith a history spanning back 140 years, our client understands why they are successful and are looking for a toolmaker to join their journey, in maintaining and growing the great name, they have in the industry.In the role you will be responsible for the repair, manufacture and modification of metal forming tools, jigs and fixtures for use in our varied and busy manufacturing facility.Key Activities

  • Production of precision component, that meet required specifications and in the agreed deadlines
  • Safe operation of tools and machinery
  • Programming CNC Machine tools, with data from technical drawings.
  • Supervising/coaching toolroom apprentices
  • Tooling Maintenance
  • New tooling development
  • Using lathes, millers,grinders etc
  • Use of metric and imperial measurements.
Experience Skills
  • Time served toolmaker
  • Understanding of Bridgeport Interact CNC Programming and machine operations
  • Experience in manufacturing high Precision components
  • Experience in milling/turning/grinding
