Job Description

The company are a very successful manufacturer of press tooling and components for multiple industry sectors. They enjoy growth year on year and have a well known and respected name.Due to continued success they are seeking to recruit a Toolmaker for their busy operations.The main purpose of the role is build new, repair and carry our modifications to multi stage progression and single stage press tooling.

  • Build and develop new press tools
  • Producing new tools , repairs and maintenance to pre-determined standard times and estimates
  • Problem solving to analyse tool problems
  • Strip/rebuild tooling for maintenance
I would be keen to receive applications from toolmakers who hold the following skills/experience;
  • Have a toolroom background and is able to build/make new press tooling and carry out repairs and modify the tooling
  • A tool making apprenticeship
  • Experience of high volume and high precision tool-making
  • Multi stage progression and single stage tooling expertise
  • Is able to work to very tight tolerances
The company are based in Newtown, Birmingham, so is easily commutable from Aston, Lozells, Handsworth, Hockley and further afield in West Bromwich, Redditch, Solihull, Coventry, West Bromwich, Walsall etcThis role is a day shift (7.30am to 4.15pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 12.30pm Friday)Benefits to include - pension, competitive holidays, friendly, a pleasant and supportive working environment.Apply now to be considered for the role....Please note, if your application is suitable, one of our consultants will call you within 5 working days.
