Role: Temporary Works Engineer Salary: £competitive plus minimum 24 days holiday, pension and enhanced benefits package Location: Fully Remote (travel to UK construction sites as required to carry out audits) Overview 2Fawcett -Construction & Infrastructure are proud to be partnering with an industry leading organisation in Facilities and Estate Management. Our client looks after thousands of assets and have an opportunity for a Temporary Works Engineer to oversee the management(and in some cases design), of any temporary works on construction sites and ensure suitable designs are prepared, checked and correctly erected. You will be responsible for statutory and mandatory checks, repair and maintenance services and you may also need to advise on build sequence, systems of work and equipment so that other activity does not damage or compromise the temporary works. What will this role involve Management of the following temporary works: * Scaffolds for access * Permanent works used for temporary purposes during construction * Signing off lift plans * Shoring for excavations * Propping for walls and floors * Falsework for above ground concrete pours * Haul roads and working platforms for plant including cranes * Site fencing and hoarding * Welfare and office units * Earthworks, including stockpiles, that will be removed later What experience do you need * Experience within Temporary Works and Construction Method Engineering * Experience within a contractor environment * Experience working on site (including residential, commercial and industrial projects), the ability to understand site operations and constraints and the importance of erection methods and coordination. * Proficiency in the design of temporary works (such as formwork and falsework) * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with contractors and other workers. * A degree in civil or structural engineering * TWC training What you can expect in return The business has an impressive rewards and benefits program designed to make you feel valued.
