Job Description

Telephone Interpreter - Hmong-Mien (Miao-Yao) / Vietnamese / Thai /BurmeseFreelance / Work from HomeAre you UK-based and fluent in one of the South-East Asian languages And do you enjoy helping others In this freelance role, youll work with the worlds leading language agency, to provide interpretation across a range of industries, including the NHSand the Public Sector.Perks of The Job

  • You choose when to log in - Busiest hours of service 8am-6pm, with the opportunity to service global client calls outside these hours 24/7
The Role
  • Providing Interpretation services to clients and customers with limited English-proficiency
  • Answer requests and interpret real-time conversations both ways via phone call, using a dedicated application.
  • Simultaneous / Consecutive Interpreting over the phone in real time
  • Providing accurate and complete interpretation whilst demonstrating excellent customer service, at all times
Ideal Person
  • Previous experience in interpretation is desirable
  • Reside in the UK and be eligible to work in the UK on a self-employed basis
  • Fluent in English and one of the South-East Asian languages
  • Has in-depth understanding of the cultural dynamics of both languages
  • You must hold, or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
  • Community Interpreting level 3 certificate is desirable.
