Job Description

Technical Support - German LanguageAutomotive AftermarketAn Automotive Technical Support Specialist with German language skills is required to join a leading provider of automotive information and vehicle repair data supporting independent garages and workshops in the UK and Germany by answering technical enquiries relating to repair data via online chat, telephone and email.This is a work from home position.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing international business, developing their brand and achieving increased market share in the UK. You willbe joining a company where growth, training and self-development are of the upmost importance.Our ideal candidate will have a proven background in a technical role within the automotive industry we are particularly keen to hear from candidates that have completed an apprenticeship as an automotive technician, mechatronics technician or electrician.Ideal location - Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Solihull, Tamoworth, Cannock, Stafford, Kidderminster, Dudley, Redditch, Nuneaton, Stratford-upon-AvonSalary 35-40k + 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays) + Monday to Friday workingThe Role:

  • Provide customers with product and automotive technical support.
  • Utilise data and information available to fulfil requests for repair and diagnostic information, maintenance schedules and service intervals etc.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of automotive trends.
  • Work cross-functionally with other company departments including account management and sales.
  • Fully utilise available resources to deliver on company-defined customer response times.
  • Provide insights on customer requests, needs for information and usability.
The Candidate:
  • This role would suit an automotive technician / mechanic looking to utilise their knowledge in other areas.
  • In addition, we are interested to speak with automotive technical authors or service writers.
  • German language skills are a must!
  • You will have a passion and focus on customer service and customer satisfaction.
  • You will have first class problem-solving abilities.
  • A professional telephone manner is required with the ability to relay technical information in a clear and concise way.
  • As this is a work from home role, you will be self-motivated whilst also having a strong team ethic.
