Technical Support Engineer - Gas & Heating Specialist - Birmingham£35k - £38k DOE basic + excellent benefitsThe CompanyOur client is a well-regarded family business that has enjoyed sustained growth over the last 30 years by putting its customers first. With over 14,000 products available within 48 hours, they rely upon their expertise in gas/heating/plumbing to ensure they get the product they need.The RoleJoining a highly experienced team in providing expertise on products and solutions that their clients might need to resolve. Its a far-reaching, wide-ranging role requiring you to call upon all your expertise as a Gas/Heating Engineer to provide suitable solutionsto many problems. The role will also involve visiting merchants or whoever needs technical support. It is a very hands-on role, so your knowledge of using plumbing products/similar is paramount.The ProfileThe ideal candidate will be an experienced plumbing engineer who wants to move into a more consultative role away from installation work. The ideal candidate would:

  • Essential to have a current or recently lapsed (12 months or less) gas fitting qualification to CCN1 Gas Safety and ideally qualified to CEN1 (Central Heating Boilers), HTR1 (Space Heaters) and MET1 (meters).
  • Other qualifications in fitting of water heaters, cookers, flue gas analysis would be desirable but not essential.
  • A basic understanding of electricity and circuit wiring would also desirable.
  • Experience in the LPG is not essential as training can be provided.
The Remunerationc£35k - £38k DOE basic (possibly more for greater experience) excellent benefits
