Job Description

Technical Security Specialist - Birmingham (Hybrid) - £55k - Legal Azure | Vulnerability Testing | Penetration Testing | AZ-500 | MS-500 | SSCP Salary: £55,000Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) Are you an experienced IT security professional, looking for a new challenge in your career Do you have demonstrable experience of providing advice and guidance on the application of security and governance frameworks and best practice Have you got experienceof security controls in an Azure environment Do you have an excellent understanding of Cyber Security risks associated with various technologies Interested in working for an innovative and award-winning company who support the development of your careerIf so, I have a fantastic opportunity for you!Im looking to speak with individuals who can promote and deliver the INFOSEC security strategy. You will hold either your SSCP, MS-500 or AZ-500 qualification. You must be a self-motivated team player who can work in a demanding environment and communicateeffectively with people of varying technical capabilities.Key Responsibilities

  • Advise Project Managers on the secure implementation of controls for products and services
  • Work with Commercial Procurement Team to advise on security requirements that need contractually capturing when purchasing products and services
  • For any technical delivery, advise on security controls applicable to OAM framework
  • Where required, commission vulnerability and penetration testing and transition to BAU
  • Increase the security posture highlighted in the Azure portal to an appropriate level by working with the different departments
  • Act as the technical security SME for Cyber
  • Advise on the best way to apply security controls within the following environments: Office 365, MS Azure, IoT, SaaS, on-premise and infrastructure and third-party cloud
The Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • SSCP, MS-500 or AZ-500 certified
  • Able to communicate with colleagues of all technical capabilities
  • Passion for all aspects of security both technical and non-technical
  • Desire and willingness to keep up with the latest threat concepts and techniques
Desired experience with:
  • Cyber Security risks associated with cloud, on premise, LAN/WAN, mobile, Remote Access, Telco, Data Centres and VPN technologies
  • Vulnerability management and remediation
  • One of: Perimeter Security, Network Security, Defence in depth, Email Security, Protection Monitoring, Access Control, Advanced Threat Prevention or Endpoint Security
  • API, MFA, OWASP top 10
  • IAM technologies such as Active Directory, IAM or LDAP
