  • Join my global client as their new OEM Technical Sales Executive, growing sales of their specialist fixings and fasteners.

The Role
  • OEM Technical Sales Executive, responsible for identifying and executing growth development opportunities for fixings and fasteners, which expand current market position and penetrate new channels, markets, customers and applications.
  • Exciting opportunity to sell fixing and fastener solutions to both existing and new OEM customers across a number of industries.
  • Support existing programmes and OEM customers, seeking new high value opportunities.
  • Provide competitive market intelligence by identifying gaps in product offering and marketing activities.
  • Increase the customer and end-user awareness of fixings and fasteners and train as required.
  • Negotiate selling prices that meet, or exceed margin growth and volume targets.
  • Anticipate and analyse customer needs, both current and future trends.
  • Forecast sales, bookings and standard gross margin targets in the designated territory annually and monthly/quarterly as required.
  • Launch new fixing and fastener products in territories and to managed accounts.
  • Coordinate efforts with operations, customer service and other functional departments to ensure quick resolutions to customer-impacting issues.
  • Market and promote a range of products targeted to both the growing external wall insulation market and existing sanitary ware manufacturers.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with these customers, offering a key point of contact for the company business in the UK.
  • Work with members of the Sales and Marketing Team and product development teams (in Italy and Germany) to launch new products.
  • Provide on-site technical support and service to customers, including site tests and training.
The Candidate
  • To be considered for the role of OEM Technical Sales Executive you should be capable of building trust and credibility to support the existing high-profile OEM relationships and active programmes.
  • This senior level position requires strategic level business development skills, a high "will to sell" and consultative value selling skills that can influence customer purchasing decisions.
  • The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of building strong professional relationships and achieving annual targets, with a background selling to OEM customers.
  • Be self-motivated and organised to work in both an external "on the road" position ideally from a centrally located location in the UK.
