Job Description

Organic growth, partnerships in place with some of the biggest names and brands, but when you talk about business development they arent even scratching the surface, so its all yours as a Technical Sales Engineer to go at!There is a pond out there that isnt being fished in which is where you really come into your own!A brand who pride themselves on their service offering, customers are King & Queens to these guys!Selling Metal based Engineering consumables into end users will be your stomping ground....As a Technical Sales Engineer you will have sold value added products & services into these industries (to name a few):

  • Automotive
  • Aerospace
  • Manufacturing & Machine Builders
  • Electronics
  • HVAC
  • Earth moving / Agriculture
Does this sound like your patchThere are big markets in both the North West & South West, and you will also be making quarterly trips to Ireland, so living somewhere in between these areas would be ideal as you will be home based.There is a great team environment in the office and they want you to be immersed in that culture so you will need to be prepared to commute into the Staffordshire based offices at least a couple of times a month, and spend some quality time here whilst youare trainingSound familiar....then I have got something I would love to talk to you about...We need you the high achieving Technical Sales Engineer, your ability to research, relationship build & close!You will be prospecting & hunting, there is a 60/40 split on New Business & Account Management, once you have won the customer over you as there point of contact, be on hand to look after them!But when I say Account Management that doesnt mean you can hide behind existing accounts, you need ambition for this role your pipeline is overflowing with new opportunities ready for you to close.As Technical Sales Engineer you will be given the autonomy to build a business plan and action it!You will be at home in front of your customers, comfortable delivering a presentation for those bigger opportunities where multi-site solution may be required.This one isnt for the faint hearted its going to be hard work, 60% of your prospecting will be new business.The current internal sales team of 4 will be there to support you, they are experienced and know their stuff, some of your appointments will come from here too.You will know who buys what product and have great end user buyer relationships.Reporting straight into the Commercial Director you will be presenting weekly numbers and opportunities, hes very experienced, he will work with you to build a hit list, a pipeline of sales.Educating customers on the product and service offering is Key , but with your background as a Technical Sales Engineer this is where you come into your own.If you have Knowledge in blind side fastening would be the cherry on the cake, however your ability to Technically sell in engineering and manage a fast paced busy workload is more important than your little black book.
