Technical Manager - Crane - Perfect for a senior Engineering Surveyor looking to take their next steps - Must be IEng or above - £60k - £65k & £4,800 car allowance, 12% pension, 25 day holiday, health - Any UK location Overview:Mechanical engineering within the crane and lifting equipment world. Continually evolving and we need to make sure teams are trained andarmed with all the tools needed to carry out their important work.So how does being a Technical Manager of our Crane discipline, in charge of the whole mechanical engineering department for a multibillion pond turnover business, soundWe are looking for a senior & IEng (or above) mechanical engineering professional with strong crane surveying experience to lead our largest department. We have been named "top UK employer" for the last 9 years due to our commitment and investment in ourworkforce, so we need someone to work with to shape and improve or mechanical engineer department.The role:As already mentioned, you will be in charge of the whole crane mechanical engineering department, so you are given absolute autonomy to shape this part of the business as you wish working with the Chief Engineer closely.In essence, you will be have oversight of 100s of engineers (predominantly field based) as well as their terms of their training, development and career focus. You will also be in charge of the technical recruitment process and keeping the engineers upto date in the training in an ever changing world.We want a sharp mechanical crane professional who can bring their ideas to the company, with a view to making the team stronger and the world an all-round better place.The person:We are open to the person here.But this is ideal for someone who has 5+ years of Engineering Surveying experience who wants a route in to more senior roles within a top organisation - something that is more likely than not blocked off where you are now.You HAVE to be IEng (or above), that is a must due to the seniority of this, and have ISO17020 knowledge as well.Ideally, you will have a background in cranes, lifting equipment or pressure systems as that corresponds with our work and you can pass that knowledge on to our teams.But more someone who wants to take over a large engineering department and look to make change, make improvements and us their expertise to drive forward the biggest part of our business.The company:This is working for a certified UK top employer who have a world class reputation for training and developing their staff, so it makes your life a lot easier as a Technical Manager that you have the infrastructure, funds and training plans to really deliveryour vision.What nextIf this seems like an opportunity that appeals to you, simply hit apply and we can run through in more detail.
