Job Description

CompanyMy clientis a dynamic Manufacturer of building products with Trade branches across the UK.As a successful, dynamic, ambitious business, they are looking for great team player to grow in line with the companies ambitions. Following on from recent success, they are looking to recruit a Technical Field Engineer to join the business.The RoleThis role would focus on servicing a technical customer base from fabricator set-up, survey and installation assistance, customer training sessions and product testing / Improvement.Duties:

  • Provide a full range of technical product support to customers (Internal and External)
  • Log activities in CRM in line with current guidelines
  • Assist Sales departments with visits to prospective and existing customers
  • Conduct and deliver surveys to customers and
  • Liaise internally to ensure all project considerations are made
  • Surveys to be conducted and reported in a timely way, in line with current guidance
  • Assist with factory layouts and MOT’s, giving advice to help maximise fabricators production
  • Comprehensive inspection reports compiled behind visits
  • Manage internal stakeholder relationships to deliver on customer demands.
  • Responsible for new customer set-up support
  • Responsible for driving the resolution of product and service complaints.
  • Contribute to product research, development and testing.
  • Responsible for providing new and updated product guidance and training including accreditations and testing
  • Key Skills / Experience:
  • Previous experience within a similar Technical Engineer role within the building products industry
  • Customer-focused and able to communicate in a professional and friendly way at all times.
  • Extensive and practical experience of the fenestration industry
  • Technical / engineering experience within a similar field
  • Survey and installation experience
  • Excellent time management
  • Good problem solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Self-motivated and ability to influence
