Job Description

Role: Technical ConsultantLocation: Birmingham / RemoteSalary: Up to £60,000 + Excellent Training & Progression opportunitiesThe OpportunityThe primary purpose of this role is to enable our clients delivery of cloud solutions to both existing and new customers. The Technical Specialist acts as a technical lead in major projects and is a key part of ensuring the smooth running and security of systems.You should be technically proficient with the following:

  • Project work
  • Microsoft Azure
  • VMware / Hyper V
  • Cloud Storage - NetApp - Deployment
  • SQL
  • Office 365
  • Windows Server
  • Cisco / Cisco Meraki / HP / Aruba
    • The Role
  • Escalation for 2nd line Technical Engineers
  • Project management and Technical lead of internal & external projects
  • Responsible for keeping own projects running to schedule and budget, escalating any risks to Infrastructure Manager
  • Recommendation of improvements to existing processes and products
  • Ensuring availability and performance of production systems
  • Ensuring all monitoring tools are available and performing correctly
  • Providing support & escalating to Service & Operations Manager when required
  • Providing support to sales team & implementations team when required
