Job Description

Job Title: Team Leader - Homeless ServiceJob Type: Temporary to permanentLocation: BirminghamIndustry: Social Care - Homelessness The organisation In this Homeless Service Team Leader opportunity in Birmingham, you will join a charity helping young people and adults, living in temporary supported accommodation as a result of being homeless. The role Is to help manage a group of front line workers anddeal with the day to day management as well as picking up a small case load of complex cases. Key responsibilities of a Homeless Service Team Leader

  • You will be responsible for team management for front line workers - dealing with rotas / supervision / ensuring health and safety on site
  • Lead and take action on any identified risks in relation to properties; customers and/or processes
  • Being the mediator between management and front line workers
  • Dealing with complaints / situations on site
  • Attending and delivering meetings regarding budgets / rents / implementing new housing legislation
  • Taking action with 1-1 supervisions, appraisals, staff rota / staff training / recruitment
Skills & experience of a Homeless Service Team Leader
  • Proven track record of working In a Senior / Team Leader role
  • Experience of working on a Homeless / Mental Health / Substance Misuse service is essential
  • Flexible to work days/evenings/weekends and on call throughout the week
  • Holds an enhanced DBS child and adult cleared - Issued In the last 12 months or on the update service
