Job Description

Reed Further Education are working with a college based in Birmingham on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assessor/Trainer to deliver and assess a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning. This role is ideal for a professionalwho is passionate about education and has a track record of providing high-quality training and assessment.The role is ongoing temporary, the students on the course are staff members of the college looking to gain their qualification and working hours will be 17:30 – 20:30 during the week.There will also be a requirement for the candidate to travel to other sites during the daytime once observations are ready to start.Job Title: Teaching Assistant AssessorPosition: Part-Time, 17:30 – 20:30Role type: Temporary OngoingLocation: Hall Green, Birmingham, West MidlandsRate: £26p/h - £33p/h including holiday payDay to Day of the Role:

  • Preparing and delivering engaging and informative sessions to support Teaching Assistants in their professional development.
  • Assessing the work of Teaching Assistants undertaking the Level 3 qualification.
  • Providing constructive feedback and guidance to help learners meet their goals.
  • Traveling to various sites during the daytime to conduct observations once they are ready to commence.
  • Maintaining accurate records of learner progress and achievements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an assessor/trainer in educational settings.
  • Qualified to deliver and assess a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Assessors qualification – D32/33, A1, CAVA, TAQA
  • Ability to engage and inspire learners.
  • Organised and able to manage time effectively.
  • Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle (mileage expenses will be paid).
