Job Description

Zest is proud to be working with a lovely school located in Erdington who are looking for a full-time teaching assistant to join their team in September 2024. The role will involve working in KS1 with small groups of pupils who require additional supportwithin the classroom. There will be a strong focus on the core subjects however you will also need to occasionally support with non-core subject.About the school:

The successful candidate:
  • Must have excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to build strong relationships with small groups of children.
  • Must be empathetic, patience and understanding.
The role:
  • Must help set up and tidy the classroom at the start and end of each day.
  • Supervise group activities.
  • Keep all pupils on task.
  • Contributing to behaviour management.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the lasttwo years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
