Job Description

Would you like to work with children and young people Do you have experience of working in schools, residential care or mentoring but you are considering a changeWinner Education are excited to be recruiting on behalf of one of our client schools in Kings Norton, Birmingham who have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to work full time on a long-term basis from October 2023. You will be working with KS1 children infocussed groups and occasionally 1:1.As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide small group and 1:1 support for a class teacher
  • Have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Need a minimum Level 3 qualification
  • Support pupils who find learning difficult within the classroom
  • Be willing to provide personal care (if required)
  • Support pupils to keep them engaged in their learning
  • Be supportive and patient to encourage this child with their learning and personal development
  • Strong and clear communication
  • Have experience using positive behaviour management to motivate pupils
