Job Description

Our client, Deutsche Bank, is a global banking business with strong roots in Germany and operations in over 70 countries. Their large but focused footprint gives them an established position in Europe plus a significant presence in the Americas and AsiaPacific. Deutsche Bank offer their clients commercial and investment banking, retail banking and transaction banking as well as ground-breaking asset and wealth management products and services.On behalf of Deutsche Bank, AMS are now looking for a Talent & Development Specialist to work in their Global Leadership Strategy and Development Team based in Birmingham on a hybrid working model with 2 days per week from the office and the rest working fromhome, on an initial 6 month contract on a PAYE basis.Within the Talent & Development function, the Global Leadership Strategy and Development team owns Deutsche Banks leadership proposition to assess and develop leaders. The Global Talent Strategy & Management team ensures consistent talent practicesincluding a focus on key talent segments, focusing on mission critical capabilities, enabling transparency on career paths and active pipeline management for fast potential talent. The scope of this role will be global and supporting both workstreams.Our team also plays an important role in the design/deployment and governance of leadership tools, psychometrics, and processes. You will work hand in hand with your HR colleagues to support key strategic initiatives that will further develop our houseviewon leadership and how to bring it to life. You will help to build the capability of our leaders of today and our pipeline of leaders of tomorrow. As a team, we enable the organisation and its people to grow and achieve their goals. WKey responsibilities:

  • Organisation of our key leadership projects and diagnostic processes
  • Reviewing the requirements for supplier management, auditing our processes in leadership and talent team to ensure strong governance
  • Contribute to our leadership development curriculum and our career development initiatives
  • Develop a structure for organising our leadership assessment and diagnostic data and ensure clean-up of existing data sources, such as leadership diagnostic library, trackers.
  • Analyze data, develop insights, and contribute to our concepts and storyline for the senior management presentations
  • Ensure financial and operational efficiency of initiatives
  • Ensure that requirements, plans, risks, issues, actions, costs, schedules, benefits, and other related project artefacts are documented and tracked.
  • Identify gaps in coverage of key issues whenever they appear and be flexible enough to manage unexpected additional workload or changes of priority within capacity
  • Work in flexible project teams, collaborating internationally and across locations as required
  • You work closely with colleagues across HR to maximize the use of resources, knowledge, and best practices to operationalize leadership models and approaches for organisational needs
  • You cultivate partnerships with key external suppliers to ensure strong governance
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree level education
  • Approximately 5 years of experience in leadership /talent/ organizational development field
  • Significant experience with large global initiatives and strong project management skills
  • Experience working in a global matrix environment and in remote teams
  • Experience handling, interrogating, and analyzing large quantities of data in Excel and convert it into clear reporting to support management decisions
  • Strong organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Business acumen and commercial orientation
  • Resilient and positive; can-do attitude and self-starter
  • Process, governance, and control mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English across all hierarchical level
  • Strong analytical and conceptual problem solving skills; ability to come up with creative yet structured solutions and lead projects to deliver outcomes
  • Collaborative: able to build productive partnerships with both the business and different areas in HR to drive execution
  • Proactive and outcome-oriented; focuses energy on opportunities for greatest yield
  • Ability to adapt style and plans according to the situation and stakeholder dynamics
  • Ability to take personal accountability and structure own tasks to facilitate the successful delivery of small work streams, taking responsibility for distinct pieces of work
  • Understanding of general HR processes within the employee life-circle desirable and/or industry knowledge desirable
