Role:-Sustainability Specialist (Environmental)Location:-North Wales, North Yorkshire or Birmingham Salary:-£40-43,000, plus company bonus. Russell Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Divisional Sustainability Specialist to join a Global Facades company- this role can be based out of one of three locations and will require travel to the other sites around the UK which is ~20% of thejob. Our client is looking for someone who is passionate about sustainability and has experience of working to BES 6001, familiarity with conducting third party audits and working knowledge of sustainability principles.Responsibilities • Develop and maintain certifications which include the likes of UN Global Compact, Eco Vadis, Cradle-2-Cradle and Material Passports. • Manage Third Party audits, including Volatile Organic Compounds testing and BES 6001to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.• Provide training to internal and external stakeholders. Key training will include sustainability topics such as Planet Passionate, Net Zero Buildings and Circular Economy.• Promote and encourage internal engagement with the projects through presentations, events, webinars etc. • Ensure that the sustainability team is informed of any emerging trends, best practice, and any advancements within the sustainability industry by detecting and assessing of new technologies and materiality reviews.• Integrate sustainability principles into the companys operations and practices.• Support corporate sustainability reporting directive within the division.• Operate in compliance with ISO 37301, 45001, 14001, 9001, 50001The Person • Educated to degree level or higher in either Sustainability, Environmental Science or similar.• Strong knowledge of sustainability principles, planet passionate, Net Zero Buildings or Circular Economy.• Experience of developing and maintaining sustainability certifications.• Familiar with conducting third-party audits.• Experience of VOC Testing and BES 6001.• Ability to train and engage stakeholders.• Previous experience of horizon scanning and materiality reviews.• Ability to drive sustainability practices.• Willingness travel across the UK to various sites (20% of the job).• Passionate about promoting sustainability.• Champion the customers requirements.Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
