Job Description

Here at Prospero, we are looking for caring individuals to support our children and young people and provide them with opportunities to live life to the full. Ideally you will have some previous experience of working with Young Children with, learning disabilities,challenging behaviours, autism, or mental health conditions.If you can commit to being dedicated, motivated and adaptable, then you are just the person we need!Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing individuals with practical and emotional care, enabling them to lead as ordinary life as they can achieve.
  • Available to work bank holidays & some weekends.
  • Participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
  • Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality.
  • Support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning and washing.

Criteria for our support workers are:
  • Adult and Childrens DBS - on the update service (desirable)
  • At least 12 months UK Experience in a similar role
  • UK references covering the last 3 years minimum
  • NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
  • Driver (desirable but not essential ) - due to certain package of care.
